I'm not sure if it's intended to do this or not, or if this is the best it can do.
So, I get 1 new message. At the top of the screen, it says, "There are no new messages."
So I go down to the bottom of the screen, and it says I have (so and so) many messages, and 1 new, despite the fact that it says I have no new messages at the top. So then I go to my inbox and reply.
But later, I get two new messages. At the top, it says, "You have new messages." or something like that. So I go to my inbox.
Later, however, I get one new message, and it says, "There are no new messages."
I'm just guessing that it only tells you when you have newa messages if you have more then one message. Is this a bug or not?

It could be. I'll test it out, and see what happens

After testing it out, yeah, there's a problem. I'll talk to Ceeder about it.

Unless it's somehow intended, or if it's simply impossible to fix.

You're probably right, the bug is most likely centered in the global header.
